About Me
Hello! Welcome! To MyAutographs.org
On this website you will find my autograph collection which I started in December 2007. The majority of the autographs are footballers because my love of the sport, however there are also lots of others for you to enjoy. This hobby started when I was younger, when I always wanted to collect football players signatures at my local team, Charlton Athletic. Back in the day when they were in the Premiership, I got some amazing autographs as I sat behind the away dugout. These include; Cristiano Ronaldo, Didier Drogba and Robbie Fowler. Since then, I have always wanted to expand my collection so started sending letters through the mail. At present, I have roughtly 200 autographs! All of my autographs are authentic unless I state so and I am not planning on selling any. However, if you email me expressing any interest and a reasonable offer, I may consider selling.
Enjoy browsing the website, and if you have any comments/queries, please get in touch via the contact form – link in the footer.
Tips
If this website has inspired you to start building your collection up, I have a few tips for you. Firstly, when sending a letter make sure it is relevant and personal to the person you are writing to. The chances are that they won’t even read the letter, but on the odd occasion it is nice to receive a note back, acknowledging you. It would also be a good idea to write the letters with a signature at the bottom, instead of typing to show them that you have spend the time to write to them.
Whenever you are sending a letter, ensure you include a self-addressed stamped envelope and a picture for them to sign, but not too many! Celebrities are busy and receive thousands of requests. I recommend getting your pictures photo shopped to the correct size and changing the brightness slightly so it’s not too dark. Once you have a few lined up, get them professionally printed. Yes, this is more costly, but you will be very pleased with the results once you start getting your pictures signed.
Remember, the key to autograph collecting is patience. Some autographs take less than one week, and others can take up to 2 years. I would estimate that about 30% of the letters you send out you will not get a reply, so to increase your chances make sure the address is up to date and other people have had successes! You can see what other people are up to here on an autograph collecting forum: The Autograph Forum
IP = In Person (The autograph has been collected by myself)
PP= Pre Print (The autograph has been stamped or completed by an auto-pen machine)
